Travis Pelleymounter – VP, Ticket Sales and Service Tampa Bay Lightning

The 2017-18 campaign is Travis’ 6th with the Lightning and his 20th in professional sports overall. He has spent time in both the NHL and NFL throughout his career in two different markets.

Travis’ career in sports started in the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning. It was a short stay as an entry level sales rep before he took an opportunity to start with a new franchise, the Atlanta Thrashers in 1998. He was promoted to Group Sales Manager after two years and spent three seasons total with the Atlanta hockey club.

Travis then transitioned to the NFL in 2002 as a Ticket Sales Manager on the first sales staff in the history of the Atlanta Falcons. He held this position for three seasons before being named Premium Sales Manager overseeing the sale and service of all club seats and suites for the Georgia Dome where he stayed for 7 seasons.

In 2012, Travis relocated to Tampa to become the Director of Season Ticket Membership for the Tampa Bay Lightning and oversee the service and retention of all Season Ticket Members. Last Spring, Travis was promoted to Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service. He is responsible for all things related to the sale and service of Season Ticket Membership accounts, working with a staff of approximately 25 sales team members. To date, the Lightning have over 14,000 memberships sold and 6,500+ accounts to service.

Community involvement is important to Travis as well. He is a proud graduate of the Leadership Tampa Class of 2017 and he enjoys volunteering regularly through the CHARGE program at the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Travis is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He and his wife Sina are the parents of three young children (Juliana – 8, Jack – 6 and Gia – 4).

    2018 Casino Night

The Kiwanis Club of Tampa is excited to announce our second annual Havana Nights Casino Fundraiser benefiting the Tampa Kiwanis Foundation. The Havana Nights Casino Fundraiser will be held on February 17, 2018 at the Lion’s Eye Institute in Ybor City. This event will be a night of excitement, socializing, and gaming with 100% of the proceeds donated to The Tampa Kiwanis Foundation.

Where does the money go? In just the past ten years alone, The Tampa Kiwanis Foundation has given more than $500,000 back to the local Tampa Bay community. The Tampa Kiwanis Foundation supports the local community in a variety of ways, from issuing grants to local charities down to the hands on approach of building ramps for disabled youth. The Foundation also sponsors local service leadership programs at the University of South Florida (Circle K), nine local high schools (Key Clubs), one local middle school (Builders Club), and seven local elementary schools (Terrific Kids). In addition, The Tampa Kiwanis Foundation hosts the annual Children’s Christmas Party for approximately 150 of Hillsborough County’s most vulnerable children, sponsors two “back to school” immunization events (Be Wise Immunize) each serving more than 500 families, builds Reading Rooms in Boys and Girls Clubs and awards thousands of dollars worth of scholarships for local students. For this fiscal year (2017), we can share that the Tampa Kiwanis Foundation has reinvested over $50,000 back into our community and we are not even done yet!

It’s people like you that make it happen and we hope you will consider supporting our efforts by attending our Casino Night.

    Happy 4th of July!

    • 18 Aug 2018

Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, we were able to surpass our goal for the 2017 Incredible Duck Race. Our hope was to sell 5,000 ducks and raise $15,000; we ended up selling out at 7,401 ducks and raising $19,000 for children here in the local community!

Our 2018 race is shaping up to be even bigger! We are hoping to double the size of our race and the number of ducks sold so that we can impact the lives of even more children in the Bay Area. Over 10,000 ducks will race down the Hillsborough River on August 18, 2018 in front of Curtis Hixon Park to compete for amazing prizes.

Individuals can adopt a duck for $5 for a chance to compete in the race. The first three ducks to cross the finish line will win cash prizes for their adoptive parents. Booths, entertainment, and food vendors will be available at the festival like atmosphere leading up to the main event.

    More details to come!
