Kiwanis Club of Tampa
We are proud of our service commitment to our community. Over the past 90 years, the
Kiwanis Club of Tampa has been a leader in community service – not only through financial
support – but also through extensive hands-on assistance to our seniors, the differently-abled,
and especially the needy children of Hillsborough County.
Our club has more than 20 committees that each work on a single community service project. An
example is our “Ramp Committee,” which builds ramps for wheelchair bound citizens who are
financially unable to have them added to their homes. Other committees work on fundraising
projects for student scholarships and organizations such as Metropolitan Ministries, the Salvation
Army, the Children’s Home and Meals on Wheels.

The Objects of Kiwanis International

than to the material values of life.
- TO ENCOURAGE the daily living of the Golden Rule
in all human relationships.
- TO PROMOTE the adoption and the application of higher social, business and
professional standards.
- TO DEVELOP, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable

- TO PROVIDE, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to
render altruistic service, and to build better communities.
- TO COOPERATE in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism
which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.
